Our Guiding Principles
Tony Buzar, a leading expert on the brain, learning and the inventor of the mind mapping technique states that “It has been thought that creativity was right-brained because we have mis-analysed that, creativity has therefore been majorly damaged…it needs both sides … all working together – that is creativity. “
Like Buzar, we believe that everyone is creative – we all have millions of brain cells, but just have to learn how to use them. We used these guiding principles when developing our program:
- Fluency of thoughts Practice, practice, practice
- Originality of thoughts Think out of the box
- Flexibility of thoughts How many ways can I see this from?
- Imagination Association and connection on thoughts or ideas
Let’s take you back behind the scenes
SMECLE takes learning to a whole new level of engagement. Each child is able to have their own unique interpretation and valuable input to the pertaining experiences. Activities use Creative play that stimulates both the left and right hemisphere of the brain which help access cognitive processing and memory retention.
